Ana de Almeida is a visual artist whose work is rooted in themes related to the beauty of nature and the journey of human life in communion with God and Creation. The artist draws inspiration from passages of Holy Scripture and the wonders of nature to craft images that also reflect the inner human soul. Through expressive compositions, Ana reflects on natural aspects—their colors, shapes, and symbolic meanings—as analogies of the inner world. Her paintings, which are also visual poems, serve as an invitation to contemplation and a meeting with oneself. In her studio in Rio de Janeiro, the landscape is imagined and represented to express the bond between God's love, humanity, and all Creation. Through beauty and art, it is possible to experience the transcendent and discover what is most elevated. This is what drives Ana in her creative process.
Biography
Ana de Almeida (1989, Brazil) is a visual artist who lives and works in Rio de Janeiro. She holds a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), complementing her education at the Parque Lage School of Visual Arts.
The artist draws inspiration from nature and passages of Holy Scripture to express, in poetic paintings that invite contemplation, the bond between God's love, the beauty of Creation, and humanity. Ana believes that through beauty and art, it is possible to experience the transcendent and discover what is most elevated.
Among her main exhibitions, notable highlights include her solo show at the UFF Arts Center and her participation in group exhibitions and national open calls, such as the Sesc Arts Biennial of the Federal District, the Salão Novíssimos at the Ibeu Gallery, and the Integrated Gallery Circuit of the Curitiba International Biennial (Airez Gallery).
